Pre-Kindergarten
Children 4-5 years old
Mt. Zion’s Pre-Kindergarten program is built around monthly themes. We
strive to provide a balance of exploration and instruction to aid in
the development of each child socially, emotionally, and academically.
Children are involved in these activities:
- Gym/outdoor time
- Literacy, letter introduction, Weekly Reader, writing their names
- Arts and Crafts, pottery
- Fine Arts, drawing, water colors, tempera, chalk
- Blocks, Legos
- Number recognition, counting, puzzles
- Field trips, guest speakers, assemblies
- Library
- Integrated centers
- Caring for our salamanders, Sally and Louie
- Bible Stories, songs, finger plays
- Daily jobs, responsibilities
- Annual Art Show
