in increments.
Through various literature presentation and discovery children are prepared
to be successful readers.

Kindergarten Extension
(Monday- Friday 11:30-3:00)
Mt. Zion’s Kindergarten Extension program is an extension
of the morning Kindergarten class. The morning and afternoon teachers
work together to create a learning environment that meets the needs of
each individual child.
These are some of the extension activities in which children are involved:
- Literacy, including phonics, sight words, stories
- Gym/outdoor time
- Introductory Spanish
- Science explorations
- Cooking lessons
- Math awareness and readiness activities
