Financial Information

money graphicAs a ministry of the congregation, the members of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church support, in part, the cost of providing this Christian school option for its members and the community.  Parents are also required to pay tuition and other fees which are competitive with other private and Christian schools in the vicinity of Mt. Zion.  Scholarships and grants are available to children, based on need.  Please contact the school office (303/443-8477) for information.

Definitions
           

Fees are one time (yearly) expenses.
Tuition and Child Care is a monthly expense.
Books and Materials:  Covers the cost of textbooks, workbooks, and any other learning material.
Full time Early Childhood Program:  This refers to a child that is at Mt. Zion 5 days a week for 7 hours or more.    

Deductions:  All discounts are for full time Early Childhood/elementary school students.

Tuition Payments    The tuition payments for the Early Childhood Program are due on the first day of the month.   A $25 late fee is added to payments received after the 10th of the month.  A $30 fee will be assessed for any returned checks. 

Drop-in Fees:  Drop-in fees are assessed in the amount of $6 per hour (10 cents per minute) for children not picked up by their scheduled departure time.

Late Pick Up:  If you pickup your child after 6:00 pm you will be charged a late fee of  $10 for 1-5 minutes, $20 for 5-10 minutes, etc.

School Break:  Your child is welcome to use our child care program when school is not in session (i.e.  Christmas Break, Spring Break and Summer Program).   However, if your child is not in the full-time Early Childhood Program, you will be charged the drop-in child care rate of $6.00 per hour.  See the school calendar for dates that apply.

Summer Camp:  Summer Camp information is published in the spring.

Vacation Requests:   Students in the Early Childhood Program full time may request, in advance, up to two weeks vacation time in a year.  This time will be credited on your monthly billing.  However, if you will be away for an extended period of time we will require payment to reserve your child's place.
