The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LC-MS) operates the largest Protestant school system in the U.S. Mt. Zion is one of the congregations which has invested time and resources to make a full-time Christian education possible for members of both church and community.  Over 2,000 Lutheran early childhood, elementary and secondary programs are offered throughout the United States.

Mt. Zion is host to a number of groups and organizations supported by and for the congregation.  It is governed by the Voters Assembly which elects a Board of Directors to carry on the business of the congregation.  The congregation is open to new members who join by way of transfer from another congregation or who participate in a series of classes designed to acquaint the newcomer with the teachings and practices or the church.  Further information is available from the church office.
